There's a certain event that occurs when a person dies.  It has been a scientific mystery for quite some time; as soon as someone dies, their total weight decreases by twenty-one grams.  "What's this all about," you say?  It's about your spirit.  Your spirit leaves your body when you die.  Consider your body a vessel (or earth-suit) for your spirit.  Your spirit is your essence, everything that you are and have become throughout your life.

What does this have to do with my elegy (a poem or song composed in lament for a deceased person)?

Where are you gonna go?

"...man is destined to die once, then face judgment."  (Hebrews 9:27)

"There is a judge for the one who rejects me and does not accept my words; that very word which I spoke will condemn him at the last day."  (John 12:48)

"For He (God) has set a day when He will judge the world with justice by the man (Christ) He has appointed."  (Acts 17:31a)

"For it is not those who hear the law who are righteous in God's sight, but it is those who obey the law who will be declared righteous... This will take place on the day when God will judge men's secrets through Jesus Christ..."  (Romans 2:13,16)

"...For we will all stand before God's judgment seat."  (Romans 14:10c)

"...He will bring to light what is hidden in darkness and will expose the motives of men's hearts.  At that time, each will receive his praise from God."  (1 Corinthians 4:5b)

For those people who are all about superficial stuff:  "God does not judge by external appearance..."  (Galatians 2:6b)

"In the presence of God and of Christ Jesus, who will judge the living and the dead..."  (2 Timothy 4:1)

"But they will have to give an account to Him Who is ready to judge and pass sentence on the living and the dead."  (1 Peter 4:5)

"They (martyrs) called out in a loud voice, 'How long, Sovereign Lord, holy and true, until You judge the inhabitants of the earth and avenge our blood?'"  (Revelation 6:10)

"The nations were angry with You, but now the time of Your wrath has come.  It is time to judge the dead and reward Your servants.  You will reward Your prophets and Your holy people, all who fear Your name, from the least to the greatest.  And You will destroy all who have caused destruction on the earth."  (Revelation 11:18)

"'Fear God', he shouted. 'Give glory to Him. For the time has come when He will sit as judge...'"  (Revelation 14:7a)

"For her sins are piled as high as heaven, and God is ready to judge her for her evil deeds."  (Revelation 18:5)

"Then I saw a great white throne and Him who was seated on it.  Earth and sky fled from His presence, and there was no place for them.  And I saw the dead, great and small, standing before the throne, and books were opened.  Another book was opened, which is the book of life.  The dead were judged according to what they had done as recorded in the books.  The sea gave up the dead that were in it, and death and Hades gave up the dead that were in them, and each person was judged according to what he had done.  Then death and Hades were thrown into the lake of fire.  The lake of fire is the second death.  If anyone's name was not found written in the book of life, he was thrown into the lake of fire."
(Revelation 20:11-15)

According to whether or not you chose to believe in and live for the Truth, you will be judged. After judgement comes your verdict. What's it gonna be? Click to see what the Judge will rule.

The Truth is on this page.  If you neglect it, you'll be held accountable on that Day for what you've done.
